During the tour you can see the Museum of Wooden Churches of Zakarpattia in the Podobovets village. About 30 miniature churches and bell towers have been created by award-winning folk artist Andriy Vorobets according to descriptions found in ancient books. Most models represent wooden churches that have already been burnt or destroyed.
Wine cellars in Serednie
The underground vaults in the Serednie village , the Uzhgorod District, are included on UNESCO's list of Europe's top ten wine cellars. They are also ranked fourth of the Seven Wonders of Zakarpattia. Their total length is about 4 kilometers. Wine tours and wine tastings are available daily from 8:00 to 17:00.
Berehove is often referred to as 'Ukrainian Hungary.' It is a city of cultural diversity, with people of different religions and cultures peacefully living side by side. For many centuries they have erected outstanding architectural monuments such as the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church (a Roman Catholic Church), Earl's Palace in the Gothic style and Ukrainian Grammar School building.
One of the greatest wonders in the Berehove District is a unique spa pool, known far beyond Ukraine. The hot water temperature in baths is +52°C.
Palanok Castle in Mukacheve and the Shenbournes' Hunting Lodge
The Mukacheve castle is ranked first of the Seven Wonders of Zakarpattia. The castle is one of the most valuable architectural and historical monuments of the 14th – 17th centuries.
The centerpiece of the Chynadiyovo is the Shenbournes' Hunting Lodge village. It was erected to replace the old hunting lodge built in the first half of the 18th century. The architecture of the building is highly symbolic as the number of its windows (365) represents the number of days in a year, 52 rooms correspond to the number of weeks, and 12 entrances denote the number of months.
Khust and Surroundings
Khust is located at the foot of the beautiful mountains lying where the rivers Rika and Tisza merge. This is the only place in Europe where white daffodils grow in the wild. The valley is a nature reserve, which is why visitors are strictly prohibited from picking flowers. Not far from Khust lies the Iza village famous for its willow products. It is the major center of souvenir shopping. Next on the tour itinerary is the Nyzhnye Selyshche village renowned for its cheese factory based on unique Swiss technology. Tourists can not only learn about the process, but also sample the delights of unique cheeses which are available for sale. On the way back you can visit an ostrich farm and a wildlife reserve with wild deer.
